LMS User Policy



This User Policy establishes guidelines and expectations for all users of the Learning Management System (LMS) provided by the Electrical Training Institute. The LMS serves as a platform for educational purposes and aims to facilitate a secure and fair learning environment. This policy specifically addresses the issues of cheating, copyright infringement, and academic integrity. By accessing and using the LMS, all users agree to comply with this policy.



Prohibition of Cheating

a. Cheating in any form, including but not limited to plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, falsification of information, and using unauthorized materials during assessments or examinations, is strictly prohibited.

b. Users must not provide or receive unauthorized assistance or engage in any behavior that undermines the integrity of the learning process.

c. Users are prohibited from accessing any outside resources, including but not limited to mobile phones or additional tabs in a web browser, during an assessment.   


Reporting Suspected Cheating

a. Users who suspect or witness any form of cheating are encouraged to report it to the appropriate faculty member, instructor, or designated LMS administrator.

b. All reports of suspected cheating will be treated with confidentiality, and appropriate actions will be taken to address the reported incidents.


Penalties for Cheating

a. Any user found guilty of cheating may face disciplinary action, which can include but is not limited to warnings, academic penalties, suspension, or expulsion, as per the institution's policies and procedures.



Respect for Copyright

a. Users must respect copyright laws and regulations when using or sharing materials within the LMS.

b. Users should ensure that they have the necessary rights or permissions to use or distribute copyrighted content.


Use of Copyrighted Materials

a. Users may use copyrighted materials within the LMS for educational purposes, such as class discussions, assignments, or research, as long as it falls within the bounds of fair use or complies with the institution's copyright policy.

b. Users must provide proper citations, attributions, and acknowledgments when using copyrighted materials.


Prohibition of Unauthorized Distribution

a. Users must not upload, share, or distribute copyrighted materials within the LMS without obtaining the appropriate permissions or licenses.

b. Users must not share access credentials or provide unauthorized access to copyrighted materials.


Academic Integrity

Upholding Academic Integrity

a. Users are expected to maintain high academic integrity and honesty standards when engaging in educational activities within the LMS.

b. Users should complete their own work and avoid engaging in actions that may compromise the integrity of assessments, assignments, or evaluations.


Prohibition of Unauthorized Collaboration

a. Users should not collaborate with others in a manner that violates the guidelines set forth by instructors or the institution.

b. Unless explicitly permitted, users should not share, copy, or reproduce another individual's work or allow others to do the same with their own work.


Consequences for Academic Integrity Violations

a. Violations of academic integrity may result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to grade penalties, academic probation, suspension, or expulsion, as determined by the institution's policies and procedures.



The LMS User Policy regarding cheating, copyright, and academic integrity exists to create a fair and secure educational environment within the LMS. All users are responsible for upholding these principles and complying with the guidelines outlined in this policy. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in disciplinary actions as determined by the institution.
